How to judge us

Ask us to prove it.

We publish the standard the work is held to, in full, before you have signed anything — so you can hold us to it rather than take our word for it. No stock photography, no invented team page, and no client logo goes up here without that client’s written permission.

MONITORED

Deployed, monitored, maintained. Handing over a repository is not delivery.

A project is done when all six are true

  1. It works against realistic data, not the happy path only
  2. Automated tests cover the critical paths, and they pass in CI
  3. It is deployed to the target environment, not just to a branch
  4. Errors surface in monitoring rather than in a client phone call
  5. The deploy and rollback procedure is written down
  6. The client can perform the task the feature was built for, unaided

Partially done is not done, and is never reported as done.

How the company is built

Two engines, one roof.

Services

Custom software, mobile-money and payments integration, and infrastructure work, delivered to paying clients.

This engine funds the company. It is not a side business; it is the balance sheet.

Products

Genmars-owned software built for specific East African verticals.

This engine compounds. It is where enterprise value accumulates over time.

Services buy the time. Products buy the future. Neither is subordinate to the other, and neither is allowed to starve.

Where we stand

What Genmars is

A software company, not an agency
We own our architecture decisions, and our reputation rests on systems that stay up.
Infrastructure-serious
We deploy, monitor, and maintain what we build. Handing over a repository is not delivery.
Local-first, not local-limited
We build for Kenyan market realities — mobile money, intermittent connectivity, real price sensitivity — because that constraint produces better software, not lesser software.
Long-dated
Every decision is made as if we will still be maintaining the result in five years, because we intend to be.

What it is not

  • A body shop — we do not sell developer-hours by the seat
  • A reseller of someone else's platform under our logo
  • A company that ships things it would not run itself
  • A chaser of every vertical

Tell us what is going wrong.

The useful first message is not a brief. It is the problem, what it costs you each month, and when it started.
